Caroline Marks On a Roll

Caroline Marks continued her domination of women’s surfing this past week at Lower Trestles. Caroline won the Surfing America USA Championships in the women’s Under – 14 division for the second year in a row. She also backed that win up with a runner up podium finish in the women’s Under – 16 division, as well as a Semi Finalist in the women’s Under – 18 division.

After her success at the Surfing America USA Championships, Caroline competed in the Volcom TCT Global Championships. This was also held at Lower Trestles. Caroline advanced out of her Semi Final in the morning and prepared for the final later in the afternoon. The Girls final included Alyssa Spencer (US), Camilla Kemp (PRT), Caroline Marks (US), and Kahanu Delovio (US). Right from the start, it was going to be a close final with all Girls scoring great waves, but it was Caroline who continued to show everyone at the event what the level of Girls surfing has become, impressing the judges to total a heat score of 17.34 for the win.

Congratulations Caroline on your wins, and we look forward to seeing you compete this weekend at the NSSA Championships in Huntington Beach.
