We might need to start selling whistle tips! These guys are hilarious. Can’t wait until these hit the streets of Oceanside. I thought the loud racer exhausts were annoying enough!

Take time to check out our Shaper Spotlight on Surfline.com. They did a great job showcasing the facility and all of our ugly mugs.

If you have not checked out the website yearbookyourself.com yet, its worth wasting a bit of time on it. Its a site where you can put your face or your friends, in templates from different eras. There are some pretty funny styles on there that you can trip people out with. Here are a few that I did of our good buddy and master shaper, Wally Puha.

We are psyched to announce Blake Jones making it to the Pro Jr World Championship. After a long year of contests all around the country, Blake battled it out with some of the best to qualify as only one of five Americans going to the championships in Australia next January. Check out his interview on FloridaToday.com. Go Blake.

I first heard the term “Blow Tail” in Hawaii 3 years ago from none other than my good little bud, Cheyne Magnusson. Ever since, I have been psyched on surfers who can really excute them with style and power. A lot of guys tend to mix up tail slides and blow tails, but there is a definitive difference between the two. Obviously if you are blowing tail your fins are completly out of the water. Anyways, keep doing blow tails!

Sorry if you visit my blog and expect to see a bunch of surf related babble. You can probably go to Surfline.com for that. Im surrounded by everything “surf” on a daily basis so things not pertaining to surfing usually get me psyched. Here is one of my all-time favorite commercials.

Mike Gleason loves Jersey and his roots. From porkroll to Bruce Springsteen, no one flies the Garden State flag higher. The one thing that he cant be proud of all of the time is the consistency of great waves in New Jersey. That wasnt true this past week and it happened to be during the time of the Volcom VQS Jellyfish (North East) Region Stop #2 and the Smith Optics Garden State Grudge Match. It turned out to be a great run for Gleason, winning the VQS and finishing runner-up in the Grudge Match. I know Mike wanted the win in both, but there is always next year. Hopefully the waves will be as good as this year.
