This model is a collaboration between Jason Bennett and David Barr in preparation for Jason's appearance in the 2010 "Tribute to the Master's Shape-Off". The tribute was for Simon Anderson and his revolutionary thruster design. This board is very similar to the equipment that David Barr rode during the early/mid 80's. He surfed several pro tour events on boards like this, especially in the Marui Pro events in Chiba, Japan. This board has a flatter deck, fuller rails, and an 80's outline and foil. The extra volume throughout the board provides a very stable feel while the vee bottom helps the board go rail to rail easy. The Throwback model is a design for the novice to expert surfer. It can be ordered 3"-5" shorter than your normal shortboard.
