Between chasing contests around the country, PJ Raia sat down and answered some questions for ESM’s “Who Da Guy”. Look out for one of New Jersey’s most promising kids.

Luke Ditella from South New Jersey is currently featured on EasternSurf.com as this month’s EC Rider and showcases a Chemistry in his quiver.

The board was given to him by Adam Holloway, longtime friend and owner of BareWires Surf Skate in Long Branch. The board has apparently brought good luck to Luke by landing him last month’s cover of ESM.

The North East has been getting amazing waves lately and Mike Gleason has been home and scoring. Despite the frigid conditions, everyone has been blessed with some memorable ones. This winter has been great so far.

Fall seems to be a good time to be a surfer everywhere. Blake Jones went home to coastal low pressure, a Nor’easter, and left over swell from Tropical Storm Ida. Its rare that directly behind his house gets good and he was home to take full advantage of it.
