A week spent surfing, sliding down muddy trails, and being bitten by mosquitoes in Nicaragua with Brendan Buckley, PJ Raia, Zack Humphreys, Tommy Ihnkin and Brian Pollack.
First Cheyne Mags, then Blake Jones, and now PJ Raia. The crew has been making their way down to Nicaragua and scoring some really good waves. PJ got back early last week and had only good things to say about the huge variety of waves that Nicaragua offered. Like Blake Jones before him, he even brought home some footage of his trip. All footage is courtesy of filmer/editor Phillip Mansfield. So sit back and enjoy.
A few clips of PJ Raia mainly from New Jersey. He is shown here in his own element of wedgy barrelling beachbreak waves. All of the footage was beautifully shot and edited by Phillip Mansfield.
Stay tuned for more footage from this duo as they are both going to Nicaragua next week.
A bunch of clips of Chemistry team rider from New Jersey, PJ Raia. PJ is out here on the West coast for a while before a couple of trips to Nicaragua and Indo. Sounds like a good summer vacation to me.
Rumson New Jersey’s PJ Raia has been making the most of his time here in California by staying busy in and out of the water.
He started things off by locking down a great sponsorship deal with Analog Clothing to support him with all of his future endeavors. He ended a long relationship with his previous clothing sponsor for a company that would help him along with whatever path he chooses in his surfing career. We are happy for him considering he is so passionate about his surfing and he needed the support of a sponsor with the same state of mind.
Also on his busy itinerary was the Arnette Pro Junior in Newport Beach where he managed to make it to the Round of 48. As many people know, the Pro Junior circuit is extremely tough and stacked with heavy competition. PJ surfed 2 solid heats on his way to a pretty good result and valuable points for next years seed list. Watch the day one highlights below.
Between chasing contests around the country, PJ Raia sat down and answered some questions for ESM’s “Who Da Guy”. Look out for one of New Jersey’s most promising kids.
The waiting period for the 8th annual Garden State Grudge Match has officially began. Chemistry riders Mike Gleason, PJ Raia, and Justin Taylor are going to take their best shot at winning the highly prestigious belt signifying the best surfer of the year in the beautiful state of New Jersey.
Chemistry team rider PJ Raia just returned from a very lucrative trip to Puerto Rico. He had a great time and scored some pretty good waves. It’s always good to leave the cold of a New Jersey winter to the warmth of the Carribean.
