After months of testing and fine tuning with Clay Marzo, his signature model is finally here. This model is a full reflection of how versatile and well rounded Clay’s personality and surfing ability is. Marzo’s Mix is a mix between our highly successful and user friendly R2 model and the most high performance shortboard we have ever produced, the B Side. This model merges the paddle power and speed generation of the R2 model while having the perfect amount of rocker throughout to produce the extreme maneuverability of the B Side. The forward volume is a complement to the heavier front foot of Clay Marzo. It helps make a board that is easier to manufacture speed down the line and paddle through the line up. It has a wider nose, fuller chest area, single concave, and a little more rocker through the tail.
