The Chemistry Collective is an annual, limited-edition collaborative project that bridges the gap between underground music, authentic surf culture, art, and community. What began as a tight-knit partnership between Chemistry Surfboards and legendary hip-hop producer Thes One (of People Under the Stairs) has evolved into a globally respected, culture-forward platform.

To celebrate our 4th year, we are proud to introduce the “Timeless” capsule—a conceptual crossover exploring the relationships between music theory, distinct historical eras of surf culture, and timepieces themselves.

The Timeless Limited Edition Product Drop

To anchor this collaboration, we’ve created an ultra-exclusive collector's bundle. The release is strictly limited to just 280 units worldwide and includes:

• Custom Laser-Engraved Wooden Box Set: Housing four 7” 45rpm records pressed on distinct, custom colorway vinyl.

• Exclusive Collaboration Journal: Documenting the creative process behind the volume.

• Custom Nixon x Thes One Watch: Designed by Thes One, this premium timepiece mirrors the aesthetic of a classic analogue audio VU Meter.

The Concept: 5 Decades. 5 Teams. 1 Vision.

Alongside the physical capsule, we launched the "Timeless" Video Contest—a cinematic tribute to the raw evolution of surf heritage, board shapes, and style.

To bring this concept to life, Jason Bennett meticulously hand-shaped 5 period-correct replica surfboards representing five distinct design eras. We paired 10 local athletes into teams of two, tasked with creating a 90-second video edit capturing the style, art, music, and performance of their assigned generation.

• April 17 – June 17, 2026: The Production Window.

• June 17, 2026: Digital Premiere & Peer Voting begins across our official platform, Instagram, and YouTube.

• June 20, 2026: The live winner announcement at the Chemistry Collective event!

Mark your calendars. The celebration culminates on June 20th at the Tremont Collective in Oceanside, California. This is our biggest celebration of surf, art, and sound yet.

What to Expect: We’ll be officially crowning the winner of the Timeless Video Contest based on who best captured the essence of their surfing era. Attendees will also get the very first exclusive opportunity to buy the limited-edition apparel, surfboards, and box sets from the product drop before they hit the online shop.
