Go Eco.

Surfboards are a dirty business. There is a lot of waste, and non-biodegradable materials involved. Progress has been slow to develop more environmentally friendly materials. Luckily a few brands have been pushing the envelope to bring us materials with a smaller footprint than your standard polyurethane surfboard.

All Chemistry models can now be built with Arctic Foam Algenesis which is foam blown from algae. Glassed with flax seed cloth from Colan & Douglas Surf co, and super sap resin from Entropy. This is as close to an eco board that you can possibly get right now. The only non biodegradable materials left in the board are fin and leash plug.

These boards do take a lot longer to build so patience is a must. That being said they come out just as good as any poly or epoxy you can find.
