Ryland Rubens signs with FCS

RYLAND RUBENS SIGNS 100% HARDWARE DEAL
USA’s rising star Ryland Rubens has inked a 100% hardware deal with FCS following an impressive start to his NSSA season.

Ryland claimed a victory at the first event of the NSSA season, and also landed the first ever Kerrupt-Flip during NSSA West Coast competition earning a well-deserved 10 from the judges.

Having been connected to FCS for some time now, it was an easy decision for Ryland to maintain his relationship with the world’s leading hardware brand. The new agreement sees Ryland endorsing all FCS categories including the new FCS Traction range set for release March 2016.

“I’ve always used FCS fins, but now being 100% FCS for all surf accessories gives me added confidence in all my equipment,” said Ryland shortly after making the deal official.
Ryland holds a number of accolades including; 2015 NSSA Junior Season Champion and State Junior Title holder, 2015 Surfing America 16 & Under Season Champion, Rip Curl Regional & National Titles winner, as well as a 2 x member of the USA Surf Team selected to represent his country at the coveted ISA Games.

Ryland’s talents also extend beyond the contest realm, having establishing himself as a strong freesurfer and big wave charger when the swell is up. “At the young age of 16 Ryland’s smooth powerful style and technique in the barrel are well beyond his years which makes him a threat in any heat or lineup,” said US Surf Team Manager Matt Wright.

Favoring the FCS II Performer in all materials, and the new FCS T-3 Traction pad, Ryland’s choice of hardware comes straight from the FCS Essential Series ranges. Designed to accommodate all surfers, board types and wave conditions, Essential Series products are purpose built and easily explained so surfers can make the right choices when it comes to their hardware needs.

Joining a long list of world-class surfers including past and present champions, FCS is committed to the future of progressive and competitive surfing. With the addition of Ryland that tradition can continue for years to come.
